PEERS Brings Driving Simulator To The First National Teen Distracted Driving Summit
The first National Teen Distracted Driving Summit took place this past October in Washington D.C. and PEERS was on hand to aid in assisting students in experiencing what distracted driving is like. According to an article by ABC News 2 out of Baltimore, Maryland the Summit was hosted by the National Organizations for Youth Safety.
The National Highway Traffic and Safety Administration stated that 594 teens have died from distracted driving in 2009. The PEERS distracted driving simulator helps teens experience the feeling of distracted driving and seeing the consequences.
